If you are a woman who is breastfeeding, pregnant or thinking about becoming pregnant, talk with your doctor before you start Didrex. Also, be sure to tell your doctor about any other medications or over-the-counter prescription drugs that you're taking. This includes herbal preparations and vitamins.
Does Didrex Interact with Food, Drink or Any Other Medications?
If you're taking any of the following types of medications, you should talk to your doctor before taking Didrex.
- acetazolamide
- alcohol containing beverages
- bupropion
- caffeine
- furazolidone
- guarana
- insulin and other medicines for diabetes
- levodopa
- linezolid
- lithium
- medications called MAO inhibitors, such as phenelzine (Nardil®), tranylcyporomine (Parnate®), isocarboxazid (Marplan®)
- medications for colds, sinus and breathing difficulties
- medications for high blood pressure and heart medicines
- medications for mental problems, depression, anxiety or psychotic disturbances
- medications for seizures (convulsions) or epilepsy
- medications to decrease appetite or cause weight loss, including non-prescription or herbal weight loss medications
- melatonin
- meperidine
- methazolomide
- pimozide
- propoxyphene
- selegiline
- sodium bicarbonate
- some migraine medications
- thyroid hormones
- tramadol
It's also a good idea to reduce your caffeine intake when you're taking Didrex.
